The worlds Largest Swimmingpool
San Alfonso del Mar is a resort in Algarrobo, Chile and it’s known to be the largest swimming pool in the world according to The Guinness World Records. The resort is owned by a Chilean biochemist and businessman Fernando Fischmann, the head of Crystal Lagoon Corporation. The swimmingpool uses the technology of filtering and recirculating ocean water all the time.
The San Alfonso pool construction cost approximately 3.5 million US dollars. The pool is a big 8 hectares and te water temperature in summer is 26 degress which is about 9 degrees warmer than the ocean that lies next to this pool. It holds up 250, 000 cube meters of water and the crystal water which is provided by this recirculating technology with ocean water makes it possibly yo see through 35 meters of pool depth. It’s transparent!
